This was a great followup to last week's game, as I anticipated. I take back what I said earlier about the offense. They showed out, I was wrong. Hoping the injuries are minor and everyone is back for next week!

SFA simulating snaps counts is bush league loser behavior.

If we win, we will not win next week playing like this.
Nope we're going to get our ****** pushed in
Scored 40+ vs one of top defenses. You think USD or Griz will plug line better than SFA did.

A FG after that drive is INCREDBILY disappointing.
That is on OC trying to milk the clock putting Lamsin under center with no beef to push and no intent to hand off.

Precisely. Rocky was ticked off all game long about it.

Piggybacking on my last reply, Myles has been so stinking good! To overcome the yips and has been perfect since then, great job Myles
This seems on par with talking about the no hitter going into the 8th …
 I jinxed him, didn’t I?
You must go out and roll in the snow, walk backwards around the block, say 3 hail Mary's and agree to not say anything negative next week.

Absolute bullsh&t. That they got called on it only twice was ridiculous.

According to Ejizz...they are clearly the better, more disciplined team 🤣🤣
They are certainly not the better team but we an extremely undisciplined. This is the worst team in years when it comes to dumb penalties at inopportune times.

The other thing bothering me is they have to be better in the red zone and why the hell can’t we get 1 yard on the goal line. We really need to stop giving flowers when it’s not deserved.

Just talked to a parent of a player and the simulating by the defense was a huge deal. After a few false starts last week I assumed it was more of the same. They said it was apparent this was a strategy and it worked obviously.

Guess my question would be then, on offense at home it’s relatively quiet, how were they able to do this so well only getting caught twice?! Which in and of itself is something because that is a call you never see.

All and all a great night. I've never felt so comfortable for a December night game. The wind didn't even have any bite to it. Crazy weather in this state. Woke up to freezing rain, and then practically balmy.

Seriously, this was close to being a complete blowout. They got bailed out on 2 4th and 7's by penalties. Both drives that they later scored. Haven't seen the replay yet, but that pass interference seemed pretty weak.

Anyway, SFA is a good team. Great having their band here. If they can hold on to that coach, they're going to keep being good I think.

As the game went on I think both defenses wore down. Offenses got pretty hard to stop..

Yep, looked crappy but never in jeopardy of losing. Hats off to SFA though. Would just never go away

Me too. Don’t love what I’m hearing about the snap simulating, but I see why that was a strategy and guess I can’t fault too much. Seems like a HELL of a coach and that was a fun team. They’re gonna be in the mix if he sticks around

How many times must we come back from a 3 minute time out without knowing the damn snap count?
We have become the most undisciplined team I have ever seen. This is great on national TV.
Really? Hyperbole, or do you not watch much football? Cats won again at home, by 16, could have been 27, & are hosting 2nd fcs semi in a row. SFA was good, cheapass on the clapping all game, but good. I honestly think they'd give the griz all they could handle. But c'mon man, worst you've ever seen?
I meant most undisciplined Cat team. And yes, clearly hyperbole.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Good post.

Lots of frustration in the game but the offense did its job. And the D made the stops when they needed.
Would obviously like to clean up the penalties and the big plays we give up but overall, a great game and a great atmosphere.

Fortunately Carthel has made it clear in multiple interviews this year he has no intention of leaving Nacogdoches, and he’s planted roots here. His wife has her own business here, his kids are growing up here, and he’s said he has no intention of dealing with the extra BS of the FBS. So I think Nacogdoches is where he wants to eventually bring a trophy home to.

Right now is y’all’s time, and I will be cheering for yall the rest of the way.

Til we meet again Bobcats!

Weird game overall, it simultaneously feels like it easily could have come right down to the wire had SFA not had all those first half turnovers but also that it could have been a blowout win for the Bobcats if they had been able to get a couple more fourth down stops. Really happy to see the offense have that 8-minute drive at the end to completely kill off the game, that's what championship teams do and they've now done it twice recently.
