Re: Julius Davis
It's just too bad, as that run and TD was so awesome, and could have been a bit of redemption for him. Instead it gets him more bad press. I think he's better than that, but for whatever reason just keeps tripping over himself. I know he had to sit for a bit, maybe needs to more, but he's such a good player that is hard to do without him. He's not a thug, he's just super emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve. That being said, he needs someone to come alongside and help him through this. Last week looked bad but no harm done. This week he hurt the team by losing the TD. They got it back, but the principle matters. I do think he's better than this, but there's something going on I feel. Maybe overthinking it, but I'm a mom and see things through a different lens.

I agree he's not a thug, but ,that looked like he gave in to the taunting, he knows better . I love his passion, but he let them under his skin and tried to show them up, just let his work speak for him. Those saying he's a kid are wrong, he's a seventh year player. Re: Julius Davis
At least score the TD before doing whatever it is you think you need to do to the opponent.
Then it’s just a post-play penalty and the XP will be longer at worst.

I think everyone is tired of the stupidity. He must be exhaustive to coach and play with. Watch how the other players are always hanging by him to keep him in check. I'm sure he is not a bad guy, but time to mature.

Re: Julius Davis
Yes, he is certainly old enough to know better. He needs to set a better example for the younger players. I'm sure I've read he's a father as well. Time to grow up. Honestly he's really hurting himself. If the NFL was a goal for him, he's hurting his chances. The NFL doesn't need more troubled guys in their programs. I know it was just a peace sign he made, but he should have just scored. Let your play speak. He should know that by now.allcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 9:08 amI agree he's not a thug, but ,that looked like he gave in to the taunting, he knows better . Some strategically applied duct tape & a pair of mittens would go a long way to solving the issue. Love his play & fire. Needs to tamp down the chest thumping is all. Onto next week fellas, great win!nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:53 amIt's just too bad, as that run and TD was so awesome, and could have been a bit of redemption for him. I was yesterday years old when I learned taunting was a spot foul. Granted it was a weak call. But thats what I learned.

Did they call that foul correct? Reading this morning Google machine says it should be placed at the spot the penalty occurred. Did they spot it at the 5 or whatever? I don't recall.

Marked off from the spot like a downfield holding penalty.

Re: Julius Davis
Shouldn’t have played after that IMO. I wonder if coach is worried that with his attitude he may quit on the team if disciplined. I don’t know. Troublesome player and teammate for sure.

He won't quit, he's a senior. He'll be done when they're done. I'm just not sure Vigen knows exactly what to do with him. The thing is he's super passionate and tough and does really good things most of the time. From his push for extra yards, to his hurdling for extra yards, to sticking up for his teammates, he's got many strong qualities. He just isn't great at channeling some of that passion and it's gotten him in trouble the last two games with bad press.
However, we can't let the last two weeks define him as a person either. He's been with the team several years now and has not had the bad press until last week. In fact when he was hurt and on the sidelines, he was praised for being the ultimate teammate and cheerleader, lifting guys up, sideline coaching even, totally supporting his team. He's that guy too, and it's important to remember that when he makes mistakes.

I was disappointed that they put him in after that but Vigen doesn't seem to have a good idea of how to discipline him. I was calling for Coon to go in when they subbed out Adam and was very happy that Adam eventually got the TD.
Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!
And a kick away from a championship.

Good time to go re-watch the postgame interview after the SDSU game. The part about going into the storm was very inspiring.

This is his 7th year of football. How much time does he need?centralmtfan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 9:18 amI think everyone is tired of the stupidity. He must be exhaustive to coach and play with. Love to see Coon or White, or both, but their reps have been severely limited over the last months/weeks.

Re: Julius Davis
I see Julius as a tightly wound watch spring. (I know, watches don’t have springs anymore but stay with me). After last week he really wanted to do something great. Cut to this run, he was basically stopped in the line of scrimmage but kept his knees, legs and elbows churning away. Unexpectedly he broke away towards the goal line only to have a minor lapse in judgement and a pretty small wave of his arm at the defender. Looks like a proper call but he still set us up on the 20 and we got the TD right away. No one else on our team gets thru the line on that play.
I say stay wound up Julius and let it rip this coming Saturday.

Sure glad we have so many posters that have never made a mistake. This holier than thou attitude is exhausting. Its not like he’s out there wreaking havoc on the community, in fact I bet he’s done a lot more for local communities than many of those casting stones

If another player got a celebration penalty or PF for talking smack or a shove should they also sit?coloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:00 pmI was disappointed that they put him in after that but Vigen doesn't seem to have a good idea of how to discipline him. This "you have to be perfect to earn the right recognize and call out poor decisions" attitude is tiring as well. I will grant you that it's a good attempt at shutting down a conversation. Calling taunting a mistake is a nice touch as well.SparkCat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:46 pmSure glad we have so many posters that have never made a mistake.
