I still hope Pinnick gets poached by someone.

Sheesh, he had #7 wide open for the two pointer there and didn’t even look at him.

Re: Illinois State at Davis
12 seed hosting probably has never happened. A 12 vs unseeded just seems wrong when 2,3 are in other game. If we do get more parity does it make sense to reseed before quarters in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets a huge number thrown at him. I also wouldn't be surprised if that QB from across the divide does as well... If they both stay while turning down huge offers, I'll have alot of respect for them. Hard to turn down life changing money though

Re: Illinois State at Davis
Money talks. He might be willing to make some sacrifices for life changing sums of $$$... He's and insanely talented QB. It'll likely come down to what he's more passionate to play, or what is he the best at in order to make more money. Most two way athletes in D1 have to choose one or the other at some point. Time will tell, this off-season will be interesting in the portal to see the shakeup in the BigSky... How many players can UM keep(Gillman Ah Yaht, Davis etc...), how many players can MSU keep (Lamson, Dowlers, Jones, the DBs...) NIL seems to be looming over the successful teams every year.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 7:34 pmPinnick won't go anywhere he can't play baseball as wellBlueAndGoldNation wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 7:27 pmI wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets a huge number thrown at him. He isn't an NFL QB but may be a MLB prospect. Not sure on that. Talented but dont think he gets Power 4 offers yet. Didn't put up the crazy stats like Ward did a few years back.BlueAndGoldNation wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 7:56 pmMoney talks. R.J. Martinez managed to get an offer from Baylor after his freshman year at NAU, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Pinnick get some offers like that as well.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:57 pmHe isn't an NFL QB but may be a MLB prospect. Re: Illinois State at Davis
He obviously isn't yet... It's what he projects to become that would make him intriguing to big schools. He is super young, and as a freshman, his numbers were more than impressive. He has plenty of room to grow. Even though he ended up staying, Jones got some NIL buzz last year as a freshman. He had great numbers, but not earth shattering. The big schools are looking for elite athletes with traits to grow into stars, and they have so much money that throwing 300,000 at someone is nothing to them.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:57 pmHe isn't an NFL QB but may be a MLB prospect. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if Pinnick gets an NIL offer. If it's not this year, it's next year... he will do nothing but clean up his mistakes and get even better with time. He's going to be a problem in the BSC or wherever he goes for years to come.

Re: Illinois State at Davis
I agree he will be a problem. Just not sure he would be a starter next year at power 4. Might get money. So depends on how important baseball is and if he has a long term future in that.BlueAndGoldNation wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 10:07 pmHe obviously isn't yet...
