Just the wins and losses from some of the teams Bobcat players transferred to over the past few seasons. I know, lots of different reasons players transfer and I’m not questioning that, but in the end, winning matters. Not all of those transfers got to experience much winning, at least in a meaningful way. No conference titles, no bowl wins, although UNLV and New Mexico had good years.

UNLV - 10-4 - lost Frisco Bowl
New Mexico - 9-4 - lost Rate Bowl
Cal - 7-6 - lost Hawai’i Bowl
Southern Utah - 7-5
Baylor - 5-7
Idaho - 4-8
Michigan State - 4-8
Arkansas - 2-10

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I do wish that players who transferred would share that info with current players, a taste of reality. But if they won't, pride, etc, I do really hope that the coaching staff throws stats like this at them, and also the reality of actually making money versus what the fine print says. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

$ that scottre thought he was going to get from UNC never materialized. Was a bad conversation pre national championship. Similar conversations were a huge distraction pre Frisco.
He followed bad advice IMO.

He got an offer, but it was pulled.

It would be interesting to see a chart of the players who left last year with these columns: the NIL $ they were making at MSU vs their new home, the playing time and key stats before and after, the post season exposure before and after, chance for a better diploma before and after, and the chance for a professional career before and after. Also list if their jump went awry on them (didn't get the offer/university they intended).

That is where his initial offer as well as Rohan Jones offer was to start with

I just read this on a Wyoming Football facebook group:

Montana and Montana State, who compete in a tier below Wyoming, each spend $2.2 million on NIL, while Wyoming spends $1.4 million. "That's embarrassing," one Wyoming booster said. "Schools that don't sit on the wealth of money we do are outspending us."

I can’t imagine MSU has that kind of nil budget. Thoughts?

I know $2 mil was the goal this year.

All due respect to the 'Pokes, but Wyoming should be in the Big Sky Conference

And I should know this, but I don't have any idea about the rules around NIL, in fact I didn't think there were any. Does the head coach have all the discretion on where the NIL money goes?

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
