Hopefully alot of these guys entering will look or reach out to Scottre and see what he has to say. Whats the chances he transfers out of there and ends back up in the fcs?

I read yesterday that less than 50% fbs portal entries find a team and less than 60% fcs portal entries find a team. They better have a good trusted agent as part of their portal plan.

The guys that are eager to move up are probably more likely to reach out to the guys that have been successful, not the guys that spent the second half of the season on the end of the bench. I don't even blame them. As a 20 year old you want validation, not a reality check. Their parents on the other hand, should be mature enough to give them that reality check and even reach out to parents of a variety of former teammates.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 11:37 amHopefully alot of these guys entering will look or reach out to Scottre and see what he has to say. Re: Scottre Humphrey
I see a ton of totally unreasonable expectations...Future NFL prospects are indeed being offered $1m+ NIL contracts, but the idea that a good to great FCS player (Gillman or the Dowlers) are going to be offered seven figure NIL contracts is pretty absurd. Not that a six figure offer is something to sneeze at...coloradocat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 1:15 pmThe guys that are eager to move up are probably more likely to reach out to the guys that have been successful, not the guys that spent the second half of the season on the end of the bench. But theres a pretty big chasm between what people believe that top G5 or middle tier P4 players are getting...and what guys like Scottre are ACTUALLY getting.

Re: Scottre Humphrey
Ironic that Scottre didn’t start for a team that the Bobcats defeated.
And I don’t think that any of them wish they were back at MSU with another shot at a national title. They had that in hand last year and let it get away. If there is regret it’s from Frisco.
Go,’Cats! There’s something about this team, if they don’t mess it up. They’ve shown an extra gear when needed and it’s been all over the field.

Even more odd is the starter is from Weber State.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 2:56 pmIronic that Scottre didn’t start for a team that the Bobcats defeated.

Re: Scottre Humphrey
Despite having an injury, he seemed to had lost his spark towards the tail end of last years season. Perhaps because he was transferring, but something just seemed off. He was talented no doubt, but I do think a lot of his yards last year were a product of opposing teams honoring Tommy so much. I think that Jones/Davis is a better backfield, and I recall a few Vigen interviews last season that, that was the ideal backfield and unfortunately Davis could not stay healthy.Bocephus wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:09 amEven more odd is the starter is from Weber State.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 2:56 pmIronic that Scottre didn’t start for a team that the Bobcats defeated.

But they can say they tried, most people don't regret betting on themselves even if it doesn't work out.

I don't need to have aspiration of a fortune 5 company to go someplace bigger and risk staying where I'm comfortable for challenging myself. But yeah, highest level is FBS. Highest level of FBS is P4.autocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 10:13 amHighest level, no way! It’s called take the money and run!!lutecat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 9:50 am![]()

I stand by that. I admire when people bet in themselves. I admired when Esme bet on herself to go to all the stuff she did to prep for going pro. I admire that we had WBB players go to Michigan State and Colorado state to see what they could do. I don't admire when a player goes to Sac St. To get worked for 40 minutes every game with no breaks.
