I think the DT’s, at least one DE, at least one CB, both OL, at least one WR, the TE, the ST player, and QB3 are all easily replaced in house.

That would leave:

1 DE
2 CB
1 WR

I wouldn’t be surprised if one or two more spots are addressed via in house development. But regardless, it’s a very small portal shopping list.

Will portal transfers into the program be announced with the Spring signing class or do they announce as commitments are received?

Transfers don't have to use the same signing periods that are in place for high school recruits. Once in the portal the player can sign with a new school at any time. A player can choose to announce a commitment if they want and then the school can announce it once the player officially signs.

This is a very good shortlist. Really my #1 priority would be finding a dominant edge rusher in the mold of a Bryce Sterk. Not sure that is possible in this day and age but would be the final piece in what could be an even more dominant defense next year. Someone with the size to set the edge a bit better but also pull away from those OTs yanking them down from behind. Heck, maybe that's Crews with another year in the weight room.

With the 105-roster limit (which I believe MSU is at), the 20 HS commits coming in, and 19 outgoing (transfers and seniors), are there going to be any roster spots available for transfers?

I would say that we will see a few leave after spring ball as they aren't going to see the field. Some maybe their decisions, some coaches decisions.
