I think we all remember when it was difficult to locate Cat gear outside of Bozeman and maybe a few other places. Now, championship gear can be found everywhere. Be careful buying some of those shirts and hoodies over the internet though. Shady sellers everywhere. Stick to the known sights, like the bookstore, Bobcat Collective, Uptop, etc.
Yep. I was in missoula at the mall last Friday and Bobcat championship gear was in many stores.

Just a thought. Do the players get two rings, one for the Big Sky championship and one for the National championship or just one? In 1984, the players only received one ring, but I’m not sure they even had Big Sky championship rings back then. They also received a watch for the National championship game as well, but it’s not personalized or has the team name on it. I have one of the watches. A team could win the National Championship and not the Big Sky conference title, so I could see one ring there.

Just read that out of 10,330 ncaa D1 portal entries 7,154 are still looking for a team. The portal closes friday,, I hope they have a top notch agent.

Portal entries close. Players can continue to be picked up through spring and I believe summer

They should get one for each championship, pretty awesome.

Your last sentence there was intriguing so I went back and looked, and you have to go all the way back to the 2008 season (Richmond) to find a FCS National Champion that didn't win or share its conference championship. I say give this group as many rings as you can fit on their fingers!

Just an information question. They advertise the national championship on ABC. Was it on the local stations in Montana? Or just ESPN?

Yeah, I recorded it on the local ABC station.
I know one of the games earlier this year was advertised to be on ABC but was only on ESPN but I think that was during the contract negotiations

I noticed some games wouldn’t show up on the high def channels, only the regular channels.

Does anybody know of or think they will make coat patches for this national championship? I have an 84 natty jacket, and I want to add this year’s team championship to it?
I know someone online that made the 1984 patches. I have two or three of them. I’m going to have them make me a 2025 patch and, maybe, a 1956 and 1976 patch as well.

This is the patch I had made.

If your online buddy wants to make a few of these "sets", I'd sure be interested in one or more.

I sent them an e-mail to see if they can make more. I purchased that patch a couple of years ago.

If this is approved I wonder if, and how quickly, the FCS will follow suit or if it would just automatically happen for all D1.

So essentially granting ability to play 5 seasons.

They should really just make it 48 regular season games, and get rid of any redshirt/medical/other restrictions.

Not quite, which is why it's so dumb. They keep taking small steps for things when one big step would be cleaner and clearer. They should just say "5 years to play college football". Nobody would have a problem with that, just make the full change.

Might as well just get rid of redshirts and give everyone 10 full time semesters of NCAA eligibility. The NAIA does 10 semesters, and as long as you get your required 24 credits in the previous two semesters, you are eligible for your season. You could be in school for 14 semesters, but as long as 4 were part time, you can play 5 seasons at any point in those 14 semesters (as long as you are full time in the semester your season is played in).
