Kinda wish we'd see a few more "I'm staying" posts. Thinking no news is likely good news but still. Just saw Gillman posted he's staying in grizland. Happy about Taco for sure, as well as Carr, but I remember last year, after a bunch portal jumped, a whole pile of Cats posted that they were staying. That just made everyone feel better. Of course last year was alot different than this year since we lost so many seniors too. Maybe after the team meeting Wednesday.

The delay on announcements is certainly bizarre. Wednesday meeting may be the trigger but why the dragging out of the inevitable? You'd think after Taco and Lamson the gates would've opened but instead we get an ambiguous IG post from Jones.

I don't think most players feel the need to announce that they are not transferring.

Perhaps Jones has something going on at the MSU NIL negotiating table and just put out a post like that to draw more interest to his worth??

Not sure if there is even NIL negotiations for the current players deciding to stay?

Taco's post made a lot of sense to me as he was also using it as promotion for his football camps. Lamson maybe just wanted to end the speculation which inevitably would have continued had he not said anything. It does seem unnecessary to announce that you're staying but I can see why some choose to do it.

I know we all think Bozeman and MSU are the best places in the world and why would anyone leave, especially for a program/location that objectively has a lot less going for it, but it doesn't matter. It's best just to accept it and move on, wish them the best if that's your thing.

So what is you podcast doing? Discussing the plays that happen in a game, might happen, who signed, who didn't. Do we like the OC, DC head coach. Is coach leaving for OSU or WSU. Should we just accept those things as well without discussion. Might make following a team kind of boring.

On a completely unrelated note......I went over to egriz because I have never been there.....WWWWWOOOOOWWWWW.....I see why ya'll passionately hate the griz fans. The level of inaccuracy, audacity, and reckless talking is ASTOUNDING. I read maybe one thread and was like "yeah i got to go....now". Some of their takes are mind blowing, like I can't believe they actually believe some of the things they say....oh and the level of rudeness they treat each other when they disagree.....there is no way I would ever suggest a player or child of mine to go to into that type of environment.....wow...I'm glad I ride with the better of the two schools.

We're glad you ride here too! Certainly BN has it's moments, like on the gameday thread sometimes lol, but the few times I've gone over to egriz I can feel myself losing brain cells. That place is a train wreck!

Well, the other possibility is that they are thinking we should assume no news is good news. We are living in a world defined by social media posts for sure, but perhaps there are guys who don't feel the need to broadcast their intentions, even though that makes the fans nervous lol. I, for one, will be very surprised if Adam Jones leaves. He seems very committed to Bozeman, is a strong team leader, and tight with the team.

We can speculate both positive and negative outcomes until the cows come home. We just need to be patient and see how it all shakes out.

And then after that, pray that the ripple from the upcoming NFL coaching changes don't make it to us.

Jones is the player I have been least concerned about potentially leaving. If MSU makes another deep playoff run in 2026 he has a great chance of holding every career rushing record by the end of his junior season.

I'm saying I don't see a point in discussing if UCLA is a good place to go play football. The board gets into arguments about a program, all the way down to the education the school provides and the attractiveness of the women in that city. Digging into the psyche of a 20 year old. Talking about the loss of the player and how we will deal with it is very relevant, or maybe how it impacts recruiting moving forward. Plays during a game is very relevant. Talking about the OC's performance in a game or a season is relevant.

But you are right, this board is meant for exactly these kinds of conversations. Just seeing quote block after quote block about why would a player go HERE, year after year has finally touched a nerve haha. We have these same arguments every year, and the points from both sides never change.

With one of my kids still going to Glacier you would think they would know...but when asked, I was told I was 6-7
