Not trying to be cocky but, the only games we might lose are Nevada & gris, followed by our road games at Idaho & ISU. I wouldn't be surprised if we are favored in all of them. The BYE is nicely placed again this year. Haven't followed Nevada much but FWIW they were 3-9 in 2025 and beat Sac State at home 20-17. Reno isn't Vegas, but not the worst place to spend a weekend.....just not easy to get there. GO CATS!!!
Just a reminder......Labor Day 2027 CATS vs NDSU in Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, followed by Miami vs Utah the following day.

Re: 2026 Schedule
MSU got a pretty favorable conference schedule for 2026 especially considering that they're playing 5 road games and only 4 at home. A few of the away games could be tricky...MSU played horribly at Idaho last time they were there, always seems to play close games in Cheney, and Idaho State is improving every year under Cody Hawkins. Not too concerned about going to UNC or Utah Tech.

Re: 2026 Schedule
Games most likely to lose:
1. grizLLies - Best team on the schedule and maybe Bobbi hits the portal jackpot again and we are riddled with injuries.
2. Nevada - They seem to suck but they're FBS so you never know.
3. Idaho State - Not sure how many players they lose from 2025 but they have a good coach and it's a road game.
4. NAU - Just to get four teams on the list but the game isn't at Flagstaff so little chance. They'll probably be a borderline playoff team again.
Realistically the list is only the first 3 teams and even those would all be at least mildly shocking. A reasonably healthy Bobcat team celebrates Thanksgiving undefeated.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!
And a kick away from a championship.
Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Re: 2026 Schedule
I don't like the bye between the 2 road games. Long time between home games. Sometimes struggle after a bye so like those at home.iaafan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 8:47 amIf you think that we might lose to the gris, then you aren’t cocky. The MICKSTER wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 8:39 amBOBCAT FOOTBALL 2026

Yes they are, in fact, they were in the playoffs, lost to Rhode Island in the first round.

They won the NEC this year and lost by 8 to Rhode Island in the first round of the playoffs. They went 11-2 in 2019.

Re: 2026 Schedule
The way too early take on this schedule is that we go undefeated.
That’s not easy to do and a lot can change between now and the end of next season, but I’d expect to be favored in every game.
I’ll say the ceiling is clearly 12-0, but I think the floor is 10-2. I just don’t see them dropping more than 2 games.
Nevada won’t be easy, they’re not a good team but they’re still FBS, and I’d imagine Choate will have them up for that game. He won’t want to lose to his former team.
GrizLLies are never an easy prediction, and who knows what the portal brings them this year, but I’d expect the Cat’s to be a level or two above those guys.
ISU and Idaho both on the road may be tough.
Those are the 4 that I think could be a challenge. I don’t see them losing all 4, or even 3 of them. But it’s within the realm of possibilities to drop 1 or two of those 4.

Re: 2026 Schedule
Are people including Idaho in their list of potential losses just because it's a road game? Idaho was terrible last year and it's hard to believe they will be much better next year. They only won 4 games and the only one that was a "quality" win was @NAU in OT. This isn't the Eck Vandals. If anything @EWU is a more likely loss because it's on the red turf after the bye week.

Re: 2026 Schedule
They took huge step back with portal and graduation when Eck left. Look for them to be in top 6 this year. Hope they win in zoo.coloradocat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 11:34 amAre people including Idaho in their list of potential losses just because it's a road game? Good place for it. 6 games in, 6 until the playoff bye.tetoncat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 10:26 amI don't like the bye between the 2 road games. Long time between home games. Re: 2026 Schedule
None of you have asked so I thought I would just put it out there on social media - for the 2026 Schedule I will be running it back and returning next year for my 4th year (although pretty inconsistent) as Look-A-Like Thread (Starter) and 21st Year in Bobcat Nation. Once I am satisfied with the collective sigh of relief we can all finally move forward with the massive value that I bring to Bobcat Nation.

Re: 2026 Schedule
Unbalanced is a nightmare. 2026 is a new multi-year schedule without suck state. and suu and Dixie joining.
Sorta wonder if the school likes an easy win in Colo. To show off school to Colorado and southern Wyoming recruits.
