Yeah, he is revered, in the Hall of Fame, at MSU now. I'm not sure he would have that same sort of fanbase and legacy had he moved on. Who knows for sure though.

I could possibly be remembering wrong, but I think he made a reference as to or inferred that it was a better character move to stay put at Montana State, even though he never had the NIL opportunity
