Listened to @Colter_Nuanez 's radio show where he had Sam Herder on. Sam mentions that there were multiple cities in town to check it out and the atmosphere and the game had to have made alot of people interested in hosting that. He said Nashville has the game for next year too and while I thought the game is going back to Frisco, he said its back up for bid after next year.
Does anyone know when will they review and officially award the winning bid?
I think it is on that herder interview on hot Mic. I believe July.

Some interesting thoughts here from Sam Herder on the future of the National Championship game and possible host cities. Yes, Las Vegas is mentioned...

I think las vegas will decide if they want to bid based on the UM/MSU vs DSU's turnouts.
They'll miss the deadline if they wait that long - unless you mean you think they'll skip this bid and potentially try for the next one.

How many years are awarded with a bid? I would think in the 3-5 year range. :-s

I’ve heard a couple of different comments on the time length over the last few years, but do not recall the length
All that I can currently find is that Nashville is interested in securing a long-term contract for the event

The most recent contract with Frisco ran five years from 2020 - 2024 with an option for the 2025 season that obviously didn't happen due to the stadium renovations. Not sure if that will still be the case for the new bids or if they'll go with a shorter timeframe.

Does anyone know the criteria for bidding from the host cities and how the NCAA decides?

I found this document that specifies a lot of the details in terms of what the NCAA wants from a host site. In terms of how the NCAA decides, I'd assume that the highest monetary bid carries a whole lot of weight all other things being equal!

A minimum of 12,000 seats. Wow, that would be a small stadium.

Loved Nashville. I was disappointed in the fenced off tailgate area. I only saw 2 egress points- both only 4' wide. Then they had the outhouses outside that tailgate area, so you had to go through the choke point each way to use them. WTF?

Mony Mony got old really fast and was an embarrassing look for the school and great state of Montana.
If it was so embarrassing why has there been so much good publicity from it.
The Griz were 1600 miles away! Almost the kiss of death to play Mony Mony before the 1/2. Didn’t like it one bit at the game. We shouldn’t be thinking of them, AT ALL!

There is no way my bladder could've made it 4 quarters. Kudos to you guys!
I had to navigate the steep stairs just before 1/2 time. I didn't drink in the stadium because of an old bladder.

Thank God for fireball shots!
