Something Colter said about 20 minutes into this reminded me of Alex Singleton‘s comment in regards to the portal and NIL money and being from California. Does anybody remember where that interview with Alex is? And who posted it?
In that interview, he states(paraphrased, of course) that as a sophomore from California playing football at Montana state if he gets offered money, he is gone. But then turns around and says that that would probably not be the best answer in every situation as an adult looking back.

Yeah, he is revered, in the Hall of Fame, at MSU now. I'm not sure he would have that same sort of fanbase and legacy had he moved on. Who knows for sure though.

I could possibly be remembering wrong, but I think he made a reference as to or inferred that it was a better character move to stay put at Montana State, even though he never had the NIL opportunity

Haha oh I hope he doesn't read that cesspool of patheticness!

But I have thought about his speech quite a bit since yesterday and it was really good. It addressed all of the concerns and doubts going into the 2025 season. I don't think anything he said was a dis at the '24 team though.

The 2024 team was so excellent, such a great team! I, like many, thought that was the team to finally win the Natty. With so many Montana players, a feather in Tommy's cap to finish a phenomenal career, but there was so much pressure, so much hype, and now we know there was untimely drama, yet they came within 3 points. It's almost sweeter, in some ways, that it was the 2025 team. A new OC, new QB, starting with 2 losses, one at Gold Rush, only 9 seniors, and the list goes on as Lamson stated in his speech. And as many have said, the 2025 team may have been better than the 2024 team, and 2026 may be better yet! What an incredible program Vigen has built. So cool!
